Kara-Suu Gymnasium was opened in September 2018 on the initiative of former rector and former Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Isakov. The main goal was to develop education in the regions and increase the number of Kyrgyz-language private schools.
The gymnasium provides education in accordance with the basic curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition to the subjects included in the state program, English and Russian are taught intensively. Students can also attend extracurricular courses such as national upbringing, IT, Talking Club, and speech development.
Mission:
To provide students with strong knowledge in social and natural sciences while developing high moral values, and to educate individuals who can combine modern knowledge with national traditions and are well prepared for higher education.
Goal:
To raise individuals who combine centuries-old cultural values with high moral standards and possess useful knowledge, creativity, and culture relevant to modern society.
Material and Technical Base
Students are provided with about 90% of the required textbooks. A computer-equipped classroom is available for informatics lessons.
Cultural and Sports Activities
Kara-Suu Gymnasium places special emphasis on cultural and sports activities aimed at developing well-rounded individuals.
Within the project “Sport is the Source of Health”, weekly football, volleyball, table tennis, chess, and the national game Toguz Korgool competitions are held among students. Teachers also take part in football and volleyball matches. Every year teachers participate in the sports week organized by Osh State University and achieve successful results.
Achievements
Every year students achieve high results in academic olympiads and the nationwide university entrance test National Scholarship Test (ORT). The highest ORT score achieved so far is 212 points, while the average score is 177.
Two students have received the Altyn Tamga Honor Certificate for outstanding academic achievement. Students regularly win district and regional olympiads in chemistry, mathematics, Russian language, and biology and participate in the national olympiad.
At the end of each academic year, the best student is selected and awarded a full one-year tuition payment from the gymnasium’s internal funds.
Kara-Suu Gymnasium is the only Kyrgyz-language private school in Kara-Suu District, providing students with modern and comprehensive education.
